Quang Ngai is a province in the Central Coast with the common characteristics of the sea.

Mountainous areas account for about three-fourths of the province's natural area, while the narrow plains account for one-fourth of the natural area.

Like other central provinces, Quang Ngai is generally in the form of isometric and is divided into four distinct areas: mountainous, midland, lowland and coastal sandy areas.

It borders Truong Son east, mainly in the mountainous districts of Tra Bong, Tay Tra, Son Ha, Son Tay, Minh Long, Ba To, or 6 mountainous districts in the province.

Land is built in place, often eroded from high to low, there are many hills, rocks and gravel. The land in this area is often gray, dirtied, black (area of 1.770ha, accounting for 0.3% of the province's land area), used for food crops and short-term industrial plants.

The topography of the coastal sandy areas of Quang Ngai province has the same characteristics as other areas in the central region..

In addition, the coastal sandy areas of Quang Ngai are characterized by low-profile terrain, which are limestone river mouth marshes and coastal lagoons. The terrain is flat and wide (Duc Pho, Mo Duc, Bac Binh Son) are the most typical sandbanks.
